ICT Titbits on How to Get Help Quickly

    • Online Helpdesks**\\

ICT has created online Helpdesks for every College/Campus where you can send your ICT related inquiries. You need not walk physically to the ICT Office in your campus. \\ [Emails.] \\ \\

    • User Support Office**\\

Operational hours are Monday – Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Your campus ICT office is enabled to resolve your college issues locally. Therefore, you do not need to go to the main campus ICT office (unless you are based at the main campus) as they might not have the necessary information for your college to help you on time.\\


    • Telkom Bundles Issues/Inquiries**\\

To apply for Telkom bundles, see link [[1]] \\ For any issues/inquiries related to your Telkom bundles line, there is a dedicated Office that handles this. Send your inquiries to customercare[at]uonbi.ac.ke or call 0204910000


    • Academic-related inquiries**\\

For your academic-related inquiries e.g. course registration, student portal login issues etc, there exists Faculty/School online helpdesks. Your Faculty/School Administrators will attend to any issues sent to the Faculty/School Helpdesk email.

    • Staff**\\

    • Remember to update your email account recovery options once you log into your email account**

= Email - How to login to Google Suite

 - Go to https://mail.google.com
      * If you have an existing gmail account, click on "Add New Account" 
 - Enter your username as username@uonbi.ac.ke
 - Enter password.  
 - For FIRST TIME users, you will be requested to change your password to a preferred password. Google policy on password will be enforced at this stage and must meet the strength requirements
 - Click on "Accept" to continue with log in
 - Provide a recovery phone number and recovery email.
   * This will help you reset your password in case you forget.
   * The phone number will also help set-up 2 -step authentication which adds an extra layer of security for your email account.
 - NOTE: After login, check the different folders/labels under the inbox, including the "Spam" folder.
        * Contact your college ICT support office for help

Active Directory (AD)

UoN uses Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user identification and authentication services. This means you will need an AD account to log into UoN wifi, eclass, VPN and other services.\\

To access your AD account please follow the below links. \\
